Ok, enough of talking / mumbling / complaining / praising. Is time to share some pictures and see how well the camera does in real action. Overall, the ISO capability of the camera is acceptable, given it’s fairly small sensor size. Picture is fairly usable up to ISO800, while ISO1600 is still considered ok depends on the scene and other factors.

My general settings are noise reduction “-1” so you may find a hair bit of more noise in my pictures, but at the same time a hair bit of more detail without over processing by the in camera noise reduction. Shooting in Classic Chrome for most of the shot, so you can get a rough idea what works and what doesn’t with this new film simulation. All pictures are straight out of camera JPEG. Some pictures are tweaked a little on highlight and shadow / cropping in Lightroom 5. Otherwise, it’s generally the performance and capability of the camera itself.

The Auto White Balance of Fujifilm is pretty good, but still, there are times when it just couldn’t get it right no matter how hard you try. Classic Chrome film simulation is a nice addition, but not a deal breaker as it’s not really an easy to use simulation. You need some good light or condition in order to make the most out of it.
