Often you may not get the recognition by others. Others may disagree with you, condemning you, look down on your work or even go as far as suggesting one to stop picking up a camera. To me, constructive comments are always welcomed. But one needs to be able to filter out constructive comments and plain bullshit, then improve from there. At the end of the day, you won’t be able to please everybody with your work as not everyone will understand or appreciate it.
Don’t forget about what you are pursuing in your photography journey. It’s a lonely journey as I described. It’s your photo, and only you know how you want to present it. Keep shooting and keep your mind thinking. Do a self critique and keep improving. Be persistent. Someday, I believe one will finally achieve what he or she is pursuing.
